Ph.D. Thesis: The influence of metformin on oncological outcomes in patients undergoing surgery for colorectal cancer.
Previously my primary research focus was cancer epidemiology and pharmaco-epidemiology. Especially how the use of anti-inflammatory drugs affects short- and long-term survival, as well as risk of recurrence following colorectal cancer surgery. In the recent years, my research focus has been on the surgical treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.
