Puck Quarles van Ufford

I’m a PhD student at CSS and at the Technical University of Denmark. In my project, I am trying to develop predictive models for patient outcomes in colorectal cancer. To do this, I analyze different types of clinical and omics data, such as gene expression data and genomics data. I use state-of-the-art bioinformatics methods to investigate the predictive value of these data, including machine learning techniques. I have a special focus on predicting recurrence in patients who have had surgery with the intent to cure their colorectal cancer. Together with my colleagues at CSS, we are hoping to develop solutions that can help us identify patients at high risk for poor outcomes in the clinic, so we can be more proactive and personalized in patient care.
