LUKAS BALSEVIČIUS
I graduated as MSc in Biochemistry from University of Bonn, Life & Medical Science Institute in March 2021. During my master’s studies I started working in the field of bioinformatics, more specifically I was studying various disease models in human whole blood using computational tools dedicated for single-cell RNA sequencing. My research mainly focuses on the computational analysis of multimodal omics data. Here in CSS, we are initially planning to combine transcriptomics, spatial transcriptomics, and proteomics data to uncover the underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms in colorectal cancer patients. Finally, the multimodal omics data analysis pipeline will be integrated into the OMOP common data model. Here in CSS, I am mainly responsible for establishing the computational analysis pipeline of next generation sequencing data and applying it in clinical oncology.
