ADILE
ORHAN

I am a doctor and researcher with a special passion for clinical oncology, particularly pancreatic cancer. My research focuses on the composition of the tumor microenvironment and how stress signals and nerves influence cancer outcomes. With a degree from the University of Copenhagen and clinical experience from, among others, Zealand University Hospital and Rigshospitalet, I combine my clinical knowledge with a scientific approach.

I have published over 25 scientific articles, contributed to international textbooks, and have an h-index of 13 with more than 1,800 citations. I am passionate about teaching and have supervised more than 12 medical students in scientific work, conducted over 200 teaching hours, taught more than 1,200 students across various semesters, and served as a peer reviewer for leading scientific journals. My early scientific efforts were recognized in 2024 when I received the Lundbeck Foundation Talent Prize.

I am driven by a strong desire to improve cancer treatment and strive to push the boundaries of our understanding of cancer. My goal is to translate my research into better treatment strategies for patients with pancreatic cancer
