Karoline is a newly educated MD, who is now a PhD Fellow at Center for Surgical Science. She has clinical experience from mainly Surgery and Pediatrics and has participated in two clinical trials within the fields of neurology and anesthesiology. Today her PhD project is within the group of Big Data and Personalized Medicine where she works with in-clinic use of predictive models for colorectal cancer patients.

Karoline’s research focuses on the user experience and optimization of data based tools for the daily clinical work of colorectal cancer surgeons. Besides the main project, she takes part in the daily work in the Big Data and Personalized Medicine group, where they implement Danish health data into OMOP CDM and validates this with external parties.
